‘Adwa’ for sustainable peace and state-building movement has been completed.

The National Movement organized by the Ministry of Peace, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Women and Social Affairs under the theme "Adwa for Sustainable Peace and Building a Strong State" was successfully completed and a closing program was held on February 30/2024 at the Adwa Memorial Museum.

By commemorating the 128th victory of Adwa, different communities have been discussed for last two months on peace issues, on the values that bind Ethiopians together, unity and national interests.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Honorable Ato Temeseng Tiruneh, gave a speech and said, "It was the love of the motherland, citizens, religion and freedom that made our heroes of Adwa march from everywhere. This love is to sacrifice oneself for Ethiopia and Ethiopians, not to sacrifice the country and the people for personal gain."  Deputy Prime Minister Ato Temeseng Tiruneh stressed that victory of Adwa is a victory for Africans and all black people.

The Minister of Peace, Honorable Ato Banalf Andualem, in his speech said that; "We should stand together to maintain the national unity; to build sustainable peace, and to ensure the prosperity of our country just like the early Ethiopian heroes of Adwa."

The Minister of Education, Honorable Birhanu Nega (Professor) highlighted that scholar to fulfill their role by making new generation to know and properly identity about Adwa and others Ethiopian histories; and so that they can be familiar with the future, be competent and ready in all fields.

The Honorable Ergoge Tesfaye (Dr.), Minister of Women and Social Affairs, said, "All of us inherit from our heroes great victories and social values such as Adwa, by enhancing the personality of our children, we should make them to create their own golden history of victory in  nation building.

It was stated that a large number of youths, communities, peace structures, youth organizations,  elders, various communities and institutions participated in this national movement that concluded today.

The institutions expressed their gratitude to all those who cooperated and contributed their own parts to the successful completion of the movement.
