Today, August 8, 2024, the Honorable Minister of Peace, Mr. Binalf Andualem, welcomed and spoke to the Zambian Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security, Jacob Jack Mwibu, in his office.

Minister Jacob Jack Mwibu said that there is a long-standing relationship and cooperation between Zambia and Ethiopia, and Ethiopia's role in liberating African countries from colonial rule is significant. They expressed their respect and admiration for this.

They further expressed their intention to work together on peace and development issues. He said that especially as his country is a transit route for human trafficking, it is necessary to work in cooperation and coordination in order to permanently avoid the inhumane acts and abuse of citizens.

He also expressed his heartfelt sorrow over the natural disaster that occurred in southern Ethiopia.

On his part, the Honorable Ato Binalf Andualem, Minister of the Ministry of Peace; He explained the work that is being done to achieve lasting peace in our country and further explained that it is being done to solve the problems encountered through discussion and dialogue.

In addition, in terms of ensuring the development of our country, he pointed out that special attention is being paid in the fields of Tourism, Mining, Agriculture, Green Legacy and IT; He said that the government is working hard to ensure the universal benefit of the citizens.

The Minister mentioned that efforts are being made in coordination and cooperation with various stakeholders to reduce illegal human trafficking and prevent death, torture and abuse of our citizens by allowing them to go legally.

Finally, he said, we should work more than ever to ensure the peace and development of Africa by strengthening the relationship between the two countries and establishing a common information exchange system.
